TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION

Telluride is a former Victorian mining town situated in a box canyon in the southwest corner of Colorado. The town is full of history, great food, and tons of outdoor activities and we're so excited to share it with all of you.

Keep in mind that Telluride elevation is 8,750'. Please remember to stay well hydrated, take it easy on the activities until you get your bearings and plan to pack lots of layers. August in Telluride can heat up to the 80s during the day and down to the 40s at night, so please pack accordingly.

The Telluride Jazz Festival is on the same weekend, so please book your stay promptly. We know Telluride is difficult to get to, so if we can help in any way so you can be with us on our special weekend, please let us know!

HOTEL

The Peaks Resort and Spa

136 Country Club Dr, Telluride, CO 81435

We have reserved a block of rooms at The Peaks Resort and Spa, located a short walk from the top of the Gondola, in Mountain Village. Our room block rate is from Wednesday through Sunday the week of our wedding, but the hotel will honor the rate 3 days prior and 3 days post, if you'd like to stay longer.

For the best views, request a Grande Sunset room. This variety of rooms are west facing over the golf course and away from the front drive, which can sometimes be noisy.

THINGS TO DO

Not only are we excited to spend our wedding weekend with you, we are thrilled we get to be together in Telluride. Whether it's your first visit or a repeat trip, it is a truly spectacular place. First timers - be ready for views that will blow you away. Seasoned vets - grab a coffee, stop in your favorite shops or post up at a familiar bar - you never know, we just might be there! From eating and drinking and any activity you can think of, Telluride has it all. We've put together a few of our favorites, plus a few more from our bucket list.

TELLURIDE FARMERS MARKET

Friday, August 9 - 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM

The Telluride Farmers' Market takes place on South Oak Street. The market
features organic: fruits, vegetables, pasture raised meats, eggs, cheese, artisan bread, baked goods, an
array of delicious concessions and expertly made local crafts. All products are grown or created within
100 miles of Telluride.

EAT & DRINK

Starting with the most important, and our two favorite things, Telluride has so much variety for every meal, an after-hike, rooftop beer or a late-night cocktail.

The New Sheridan Historic bar is an iconic destination right in the center of town. A must-visit dive bar that also has a rooftop is attached to the New Sheridan Hotel, which boasts one of the best chophouses in the state. The Butcher and the Baker is a go-to for a delicious breakfast sandwich or easy lunch. Brown Dog Pizza is the original Blue Pan (if you know, you know! If you don't, just trust us.) Siam is Emily's favorite Thai food ever. Must try!

Check these out and others on our list below and you can't go wrong!

HIKE

Take an easy stroll right from town or hoof it up Bridal Veil Falls (even if you don't want to hike Bridal Veil, you can drive there for a view!). Our favorite, and a local fav, is the Jud Weibe Memorial Trail, providing some difficult hills and the reward of a gorgeous view of the entire town of Telluride.

Via Ferrata

This incredible experience, meaning "iron road" in Italian, is sure to get your heart rate up and test your fear of heights! The groom has yet to prove he has the metal to attempt it, but the bride completed it with ease, showing she's not your typical "indoor cat." A guide is required, who will provide a helmet and helpful tips along the way!

SHOP

As you stroll through town, notice the lack of chain stores, but not a lack of options! Telluride has every kind of store from boutique to antique. But not matter where you shop, you can almost guarantee you'll be supporting locals! Two Skirts, Crossbow Leather and Hats and Sit, Stay, Shop! Thrift are Em's favs (she's the pro after all!).

TELLURIDE OUTSIDE

These guides can take you to the next level with any guided activity you can dream up in Telluride. From fly fishing, 4wd tours, rafting, stand-up paddle boards and so much more, if you want an adventure, but don't want the maintenance, be sure to give them a call!

SPA

After a long hike or a long night, hit the spa for a massage, hot tub or Mikey's fav, a steam! The Spa at the Peaks Resort is convenient for hotel guests, but anyone is able to use the spa amenities and book a treatment. The Hotel Madeline in Mountain Village also has a beautiful spa, as well as many options in downtown!

REGISTRY

We are so looking forward to celebrating with you on our big day! Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all, however, if you're looking for wedding gift ideas, we've registered for some things to really start our lives together!

Thank you!

FAQ

May I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Due to the capacity of our wedding venue, plus ones are by invitation only.

Are our kids welcome at the wedding?

While we love your little ones, we have chosen to make our special day adults only, with a few exceptions for close family. We thank you for understanding.

What is Mountain Formal attire?

A touch more elevated than cocktail attire, but not quite black tie. No tuxes necessary for men. Because we're in the mountains, specifically Telluride, we encourage boots and hats to go with your formal wear!

Where should we stay?

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Peaks Hotel in Mountain Village. Please visit the Travel tab for more information.

What time should we arrive for the ceremony? Will there be transportation provided?

Shuttle transportation will be provided from The Peaks Hotel in Mountain Village and possibly one stop in town. There is no parking at the venue, so we ask you to please use our transportation, which will be available throughout the evening. More information regarding timing will be provided upon arrival.

Is the ceremony and reception indoor or outdoor?

Our ceremony will take place outside on the grass followed by our cocktail reception. We encourage block heels or wedges for ladies. Please also consider bringing a warm layer for crisp mountain evenings. Our reception will also take place on grass, under a tent.

How do I RSVP? What if I have dietary rescrictions?

Upon receiving your formal invitation, you will receive instructions to RSVP via our website with the option to note any dietary restrictions you would like us to be aware of.
